Satyrykon has been organized in Legnica since 1977. This is one of the world’s most important competitions for visual artists. Every year, Satyrykon receives thousands of works by artists from all over the world. The 46th edition of Satyrykon will have its finale in Legnica on 16-18 June. Next satyricon award by Legnica journalists
In accordance with the satirikon secular tradition, Legnica journalists met for the 31st time to select the Andrzej Waligórski Award. The journalistic jury selects a work of art from among Polish artists that conforms to the motto of the patron of the award: not to kick the lying one, not to swing at the hanging
Satyrykon 2023: special prizes awarded!
After the satyricon jury selects the statutory awards, it’s time to award special prizes from Partners and Funders. One of the special prizes is traditionally awarded by the Mayor of Legnica, Tadeusz Krzakowski. As in the previous year, he awarded the work of Cuban artist Aristides Esteban Hernadez Guerrero, better known by his pseudonym ARES.
