The Legnica Cultural Centre announces the next edition of the International Exhibition of Satirical Drawing SATYRYKON – Legnica 2026, one of the most important and recognizable artistic events of its kind in the world. For nearly 50 years, the competition has brought together artists from different countries and cultures, creating a space for reflection, dialogue, and humor at its finest.
This year’s 49th edition features two thematic categories:
• Comfort Zone
• Joke and Satire
Artists are invited to submit drawings, graphics, photographs, and other works of visual art created in any technique – provided that they are original and have not been previously submitted to other competitions. Entries are accepted exclusively online through the application form available at:

The deadline for submissions is 7 January 2026, 11:59 a.m. (Polish time).
Among the official prizes are the traditional Grand Prix – a solid gold key and a cash award of PLN 12,000, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals, honorable mentions, and special awards funded by, among others, the Mayor of Legnica, the Director of the Legnica Cultural Centre, and the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw.
Satyrykon is a competition of exceptional prestige, with a history dating back to 1977. Each edition brings together the most prominent names in the world of satirical art, while also serving as a platform for young artists taking their first steps toward an international career.
The list of works qualified for the second stage of the competition will be announced by 23 January 2026, and the final results will be published by 20 March 2026.
